Adam Richard Wiles, better known by his stage name Calvin Harris, is a Scottish DJ/Producer/Singer/Songwriter born January 17, 1984 in Dumfries. A fan of electronic music, Harris began during his adolescence to record his first demos at home. In 2002, he released a single with the songs "Da Bongos" and "Brighter Days", but under the name Stouffer.

In 2004, Calvin Harris released a song with Jordanian singer Ayah Marar entitled "Let Me Know". In 2006, the musician signed with the record label EMI, after gaining attention on MySpace. Their debut album, I Created Disco, with its mix of disco music, electroclash, pop and new wave, featured the singles "Acceptable in the 80s", "The Girls" and "Merrymaking at My Place".

Her second studio album, Ready for the Weekend (2009), peaked at number one on the UK Albums Chart. In 2012, Calvin Harris released 18 Months, an album that features collaborations with Kelis, Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, Florence Welch, Dizzee Rascal and Ayah Marar. Two years later, Motion came out.

Harris has written and produced tracks for a variety of artists including Kylie Minogue, Dizzee Rascal, The Ting Tings, Rihanna, the Scissor Sisters and Ellie Goulding.

In 2017, he released Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, an album that features Frank Ocean, Schoolboy Q, Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande, Future, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry among its collaborators. The continuation of that work, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2, arrived in 2022 with 21 Savage, Dua Lipa, Busta Rhymes, Justin Timberlake, Halsey, Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg and Pusha T among the guests.
