Welsh singer-songwriter Cate Le Bon, born 4 March 1983, who sings in English and the Welsh language, began appearing to audiences in 2007 when touring opening for Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals) in the United Kingdom. In 2008, she appeared collaborating on the vocals of the song "I Lust U", track of the album Stainless Style, by the band Neon Neon.

Cate Le Bon released her first album, Me Oh My, in 2009. This was followed by Cyrk (2012) and Mug Museum (2013). In 2013, she toured the UK with the band Manic Street Preachers.

A new album by the artist, titled Crab Day, came out in 2016. Her fifth album, Reward, was released in 2019, featuring drummer Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint) and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer (Red Hot Chili Peppers) among its collaborators. In 2022, she released Pompeii.
