The Killers

The Killers is a Las Vegas band, formed in 2002, born in the new wave/post punk revival that The Strokes, Interpol, The Walkmen and so many others put into pop music in the early 2000s.

Brandon Flowers (vocals, keyboards), David Keuning (guitars), Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums) definitely appeared in pop music in 2004 with a highly praised record, Hot Fuss. This debut album brought several hits, such as "Somebody Told Me", "Mr. Brightside", Smile Like You Mean It "and" All These Things That I've Done ". The use of synthesizers on this album led the band to be compared with typical groups of the 80s, such as The Cure, Duran Duran, U2, among others.

In 2006, The Killers released their second album, entitled Sam's Town. More guitars and less synthesizers, this album shows the band with a more aggressive style, incorporating a very American spirit, characteristic of Bruce Springsteen.

The Killers released their third studio album in 2008, entitled Day & Age. In January 2010, the group announced a break from their activities. However, the following year, he returned to do some shows and record a new album, which was released in September 2012 under the title Battle Born. Wonderful Wonderful, their fifth album, came out in 2017.

In 2020, the band released Imploding the Mirage and the following year Pressure Machine.
