Sharon Van Etten + Josh Homme

The voices of Sharon Van Etten and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) come together in a re-recording of the classic 1970s song “(What’s So Funny‘ Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding ”by English singer and songwriter Nick Lowe. But, it became better known with the version made by Elvis Costello and the Attractions.

The choice of “(What’s So Funny‘ Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding” by the two artists serves as a mirror of the current moment. The lyrics of the song are about lost hope, pain and “searching for light in the darkness of insanity” - that make us think about a South American country.
