Beck, She & Him e Mark Lanegan escolhem as faixas de "Handpicked Songs 1955-1962", coletânea dos Louvin Brothers

Um grupo de músicos do cenário alternativo e folk contribuíram para "Handpicked Songs 1955-1962", uma nova compilação do clássico duo da música country, The Louvin Brothers.

Beck (foto), Zooey Deschanel e M. Ward do She & Him, Devendra Banhart, Dolly Parton, Will Oldham, Mark Lanegan, Graham Nash, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson e Chris Hillman escolheram suas músicas preferidas dos irmãos Louvin para a compilação, que está programado para ser lançado no dia 07 de novembro.
 
O álbum "Satan Is Real", de 1959, também será relançado no mesmo dia, em CD duplo. Os Louvin Brothers foram membros do Grand Ole Opry em 1955, que acabou em 1963. Ira Louvin morreu em um acidente de carro em 1965, e seu irmão Charlie faleceu em janeiro deste ano, aos 83 anos.
