Swedish singer Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson, known as Lykke Li, was born on March 18, 1986 in the city of Ystad. His music mixes elements of indie rock and electronics, with the use of instruments such as synthesizers, tambourines, trumpets, saxophones, cellos and violins.

His connection with the arts came from the family, being the painter mother and the musician father. In childhood, Lykke Li and his family moved to Stockholm. At the age of six, she and her family went to Portugal, a country where they lived for five years. His family also spent time in Morocco, Nepal, India and New York City.

Back in Sweden, Lykke Li released in 2007 his first EP, Little Bit, which was produced by Björn Yttling, a member of Peter Bjorn and John. The EP created a positive buzz on the Swedish indie rock scene, prompting the young singer to sign with the label Atlantic. In 2008, Youth Novels came out, the debut album, which brought Lykke Li more visibility. 'Youth Novels was produced by Bjorn Yttling and Lasse Martén.

In 2009, she recorded the song "Possibility" for the soundtrack of the movie "The Twilight Saga: New Moon". In 2011, Lykke Li returned with her second album, entitled Wounded Rhymes. The successor, the excellent I Never Learn, was released in May 2014. So Sad So Sexy, the singer's fourth album, came out in 2018.
