Royal Blood is a British band formed in 2013 in Brighton by Mike Kerr (vocals/bass) and Ben Thatcher (drums). His music is mainly associated with the so-called modern garage rock and blues rock, with the White Stripes and The Black Keys as references.

"Out of the Black", their first single, came out in November 2013, followed by "Little Monster", released in February 2014. In May of that year, the duo opened for two Arctic Monkeys shows at Finsbury Park in London. Also in 2014, in August, Royal Blood released their first album, self-titled.

In 2015, the band was one of the attractions of the Rock in Rio festival, held in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The band performed on September 19th. In 2017, the duo released How Did We Get So Dark?, their second album. Royal Blood returned in 2021 with Typhoons.
