Vocalista do Flaming Lips pede desculpas ao Arcade Fire

 Wyane Coyne refletindo sobre suas declarações Wayne Coyne, líder do Flaming Lips, veio a público pedir desculpas pelas declarações nada amigáveis sobre seus amigos canadenses do Arcade Fire.

No começo deste ano, Coyne chamou a banda de "cretinos", devido ao tratamento dado pelos canadenses aos membros de sua equipe, nas váras vezes que as duas bandas se cruzaram por festivais.

Em entrevista à Entertainment Weekly, o vocalista do Flaming Lips sentiu-se arrependido de ter feito essa declaração na mídia. Coyne disse que não se referia a banda e não gostou da proporção dada a sua declaração, era apenas uma piada. "Há a idéia de que estou contra eles...não estou", completa o líder do Flaming Lips.

Atualmente o Flaming Lips prepara a edição de um novo álbum, chamado de "Embryonic", previsto para setembro, além de excursionar pela Europa abrindo algumas apresentações do Coldplay.
