Brazilian singer Érika Machado, from the city of Belo Horizonte, released her first album in 2006. Entitled No Cimento and produced by John Ulhoa (Pato Fu), the album earned her the Revelation of the Year award in the MPB category from the São Paulo Association of Critics and Arts (APCA). 

Her music was described as minimalist experimental pop. 

After No Cimento, came the album Bem Me Quer Mal Me Quer in 2009. Superultramegafluuu, the artist's third album, is a collection of children's songs, released in 2015. 

In 2019, Érika Machado moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where she created the Spicy Noodles project with Portuguese keyboardist Filipa Bastos. In 2022, she released the EP Devastei o meu jardim por você.
