Temples

Temples is an English band formed in Kettering in 2012 by James Edward Bagshaw (vocals and guitar) and Thomas Edison Warmsley (bass). From the very beginning of their career, the project caught the attention of the music press and earned the admiration of icons such as Johnny Marr and Noel Gallagher.

Deeply rooted in psychedelic rock, the group’s music draws on influences from The Flaming Lips and is often compared to the work of Tame Impala. Their debut single, “Shelter Song,” was released in November 2012 by Heavenly Recordings. Shortly thereafter, to bolster their live performances, the lineup expanded with the addition of Sam Toms (drums) and Adam Smith (keyboards).

Their studio album debut came in February 2014 with the acclaimed Sun Structures. The band’s discography continued to grow with the releases of Volcano (2017) and Hot Motion (2019).

In 2023, the group released Exotico, an album produced by Sean Ono Lennon and mixed by Dave Fridmann. In 2026, the band released Bliss via V2 Records, an album that marks a turning point in their sonic identity by fusing classic psychedelia with elements of dance music.
