Tycho is a project by American multi-instrumentalist and producer Scott Hansen, also known as ISO50 for his work as a photographer and graphic artist. Tycho's music is associated with ambient, downtempo IDM, and chillwave genres, drawing inspiration from artists such as DJ Shadow and Boards of Canada.
In 2004, Tycho released his first album, Sunrise Projector, on the Gammaphone Records label, which was re-released in 2006 by Merck Records under the title Past Is Prologue with bonus tracks.
Subsequently, the musician released the albums Dive (2011), Awake (2014), and Epoch, all three on the Ghostly International label. His fourth album, Weather, was released in 2019 by the Mom + Pop Music label. This work garnered attention for the inclusion of vocals on five tracks with the collaboration of singer Saint Sinner. The following year saw the release of Simulcast, an instrumental version of Weather with some renamed tracks. A new album featuring unreleased tracks arrived in 2024, titled Infinite Health.
