O Arctic Monkeys é a banda mais indicada para a edição deste ano dos prêmios do semanário NME.
O grupo liderado por Alex Turner está indicado em sete categorias, incluindo a de melhor banda britânica, melhor banda ao vivo e melhor álbum, com "Suck It and See".
Entre os artistas mais nomeados encontram-se Florence + The Machine (melhor artista solo, melhor canção, com "Shake It Out" e artista feminina mais sexy) e Lana Del Rey (artista revelação, melhor canção e melhor vídeo com "Video Games").
Pelo lado negativo, a banda que recolhe mais nomeações é o Coldplay: pior álbum ( "Mylo Xyloto" ) e pior banda. Lady GaGa está nomeada também para pior álbum ( "Born This Way" ) e vilã do ano.
