After Kiss Each Other Clea n (2011), which was top 10 in the United States, the band's fifth studio album was released on April 16th. Iron & Wine , Ghost on Ghost , much more relaxed than his previous works and with more pop and jazz influences.
Ghost on Ghost was recorded in New York and was produced by Sam Beam's regular collaborator Brian Deck ( Modest Mouse , Califone, Fruit Bats).
Among the musicians who participate in its recording are Rob Burger, Tin Hat Trio; Steve Bernstein, Tony Scherr, Kenny Wollesen and Briggan Krauss, from Sex Mob; jazz drummer Brian Blade; trombonist Curtis Fowlkes, from The Jazz Passengers; bassist Tony Garnier, from the band Bob Dylan ; Marika Hughes, Maxim Moston and Doug Wieselman of Antony and The Johnsons , and Anja Wood. Rob Burger was also in charge of the string and brass arrangements for "Ghost on Ghost".
