The Scottish band Teenage Fanclub has announced Do Not Dare To Dream, their 13th studio album. The album will be released on October 9, 2026, by Merge Records and follows 2023’s Nothing Lasts Forever.
The first single from the album is “Day in the Sun,” a track composed by Norman Blake. The song has a music video directed by Donald Milne and filmed at Black Bay Studio, located on Great Bernera, a remote island in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland.
Do Not Dare To Dream
Black Bay Studio also hosted the recording of the band’s performances for the new album. The vocals and other additional elements were recorded later in Glasgow.
Produced by Teenage Fanclub themselves, Do Not Dare To Dream features ten tracks, with the songs split equally between Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley.
The album is the group’s third studio album released since the departure of bassist, vocalist, and songwriter Gerard Love, who left the band in 2018. The two remaining founding members, Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley, are currently joined by longtime collaborators Francis Macdonald, David McGowan, and Euros Childs, former frontman of the Welsh band Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci.
Do Not Dare To Dream is set to be released on October 9, 2026, via Merge Records.
