Adele supera Beatles e Pink Floyd nos Estados Unidos

Não contente com as 19 semanas em primeiro lugar na Grã-Bretanha, Adele comemora sua semana número 16 no topo da lista de álbuns mais vendidos nos Estados Unidos com "21".

Adele é a primeira artista britânica que consegue manter-se durante tantas semanas no nº 1 nos Estados Unidos, superando a marca anterior de quinze semanas consecutivas de "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band", dos Beatles, e "The Wall", do Pink Floyd.
 
No total, em todo o mundo foram vendido até agora 17 milhões de unidades de "21", o que o converte no álbum mais vendido deste século, superando "Back to Black" de Amy Winehouse. Só nos Estados Unidos foram vendidos mais de seis milhões de cópias. E tudo isso em menos de um ano.
 
Adele ainda conta com o provável empurrão das premiações Brit Awards e Grammy no próximo mês. No primeiro, a cantora concorre em três categorias, já no segundo, em seis.
