Florence Welch é eleita a mulher mais espetacular do rock

Florence Welch, líder do grupo Florence and the Machine, é a mulher mais espetacular da história do rock, consideram os ouvintes da estação de rádio britânica XFM. 

Depois de elegerem Liam Gallagher (Oasis, Beady Eye) como melhor "frontman" de todos os tempos, os ouvintes da XFM escolheram as mulheres mais notáveis do rock: e o resultado foi um top encabeçado por Florence Welch, seguida por Alison Mosshart, do The Kills e por Skin, do Skunk Anansie
 
Sobre a vitória, Florence Welch afirmou que ser uma mulher do rock implica, de certa forma, "perverter a ideia de feminilidade - conseguir ser vulnerável e poderosa ao mesmo tempo é muito importante quando atuamos".
