Following the release of the single “Easy Street,” Queens of the Stone Age announced Perfecth, their ninth studio album, set for release on October 30 via Matador Records. The follow-up to In Times New Roman... (2023), the album was recorded in New Orleans and Los Angeles and produced by Josh Homme and Michael Shuman.
Along with the announcement, the band shared “Insignificant Other,” a song about growing apart and the feeling of losing someone who once meant the world to you.
About the Album
Perfecth will be released in digital, CD, and vinyl formats, including a special edition featuring handwritten lyrics and exclusive artwork.
Inspired by kintsugi—a Japanese technique that celebrates the marks left by the repair of broken objects—the album explores different forms of love and the experiences that can destroy or rebuild a person.
According to Homme, each of the nine tracks seems to come from a different universe, bringing together feelings related to love, desire, folly, and the wisdom gained from these experiences.
