Os americanos do Flaming Lips e do Weezer iniciaram suas apresentações conjuntas pela América do Norte, começando com um show no PNC Bank Arts Centre, em Nova Jersey.
Wayne Coyne (foto) explicou o conceito do show: "Esperamos confundi-los. Você sai para ir ao banheiro e o Flaming Lips está tocando, você volta e o Weezer está tocando".
O Weezer tocou vários de seus hits, incluindo "Buddy Holly", "(If You're Wondering If I Want You to) I Want You To'" e seu cover do Radiohead, "Paranoid Android". Já o Flaming Lips tocou, entre outras coisas, "Do You Realize?", "The Observer" e "Is David Bowie Dying?".
Para o bis, as duas bandas tocaram a clássica "Undone — The Sweater Song", do Weezer, mas antes executaram "'She Don't Use Jelly", do Flaming Lips. Veja o vídeo logo abaixo:
