Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello, members of Death Cab For Cutie and Dntel respectively, formed the project The Postal Service in the early 2000s.
In 2003, the duo released their acclaimed debut album, entitled Give Up, on the record label Sub Pop.
In Give Up, The Postal Service combines indie pop with 1980s synth pop, delivering engaging, melancholic and danceable songs.
