Black Rebel Motorcycle Club announced that his seventh album will be called Specter At The Feast and will be released on March 18th.
The band revives the idea of making an album after taking a break following the tragic loss of their "fourth member", Michael Been, who was the father of Robert Been, bassist for the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Specter At The Feast it was mostly recorded in Dave Grohl's studio in Los Angeles. The rest of the album was recorded at the famous studio located in Joshua Tree, Rancho de La Luna (where they previously recorded Queens of the Stone Age , Victoria Williams, Eagles of Death Metal and Mark Lanegan , among others), and Robert Been's house in Santa Cruz, California.
About the new album, they say they were influenced by Pink Floyd and Spiritualized. Among the songs on "Specter At The Feast" are "Teenage Disease", "Lullaby" and "Returning".
