David Lynch remixa Zola Jesus

O diretor David Lynch, que editou recentemente o seu primeiro álbum, remixou "In Your Nature", o novo single que Zola Jesus (foto) retirou do álbum "Conatus". 

A artista sempre recusou remixes das suas canções mas disse em entrevista à Pitchfork que desta vez não tinha como recusar. Ouça o remix aqui.
 
"Sinto que reinterpretar algo pode retirar esse algo do contexto, mas quando o David Lynch pede para remixar uma canção tua, você deixa", começou por dizer Zola Jesus. O remix será incluído no single de "In Your Nature", que sairá no dia 21 de fevereiro.
 
A artista diz que a influência de Lynch, de quem é fã, pode ser encontrada no seu trabalho: "Os filmes dele são um um desafio quer em termos visuais quer em termos morais e filosóficos. E ambos usamos a música para explorar coisas que são difíceis e desconfortáveis".
 
Questionada sobre se Lynch poderia realizar o vídeo de "In Your Nature", Jesus respondeu: "Não coloco esse tipo de questões, tenho muito medo. Não quero me colocar diante de uma grande desilusão, mas tenho sonhos, claro".
