Blondie has released “Spectral Eyes,” the first single from High Noon, their 12th studio album. The new album is scheduled for release on February 26, 2027, via BMG and will be the follow-up to Pollinator (2017).

Written by Johnny Marr (former guitarist for The Smiths), the song was originally released by Marr himself in 2018 as the B-side to the single “Spiral Cities” from the album Call the Comet. On Blondie’s version, Marr plays guitar and provides backing vocals, while Glen Matlock, the original bassist for the Sex Pistols, plays bass.

About the album High Noon

Debbie Harry described the new album as a synthesis of the various phases and influences throughout Blondie’s career, resulting in something new. In addition to Marr and Matlock, the album features guest appearances by Zach Condon (Beirut), as well as Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, both from the band Lucius.

Comprising 13 tracks, High Noon was produced by John Congleton—who also produced Pollinator — with additional production and mixing by David Wrench. The album marks the final studio appearance of legendary drummer Clem Burke, who passed away in April 2025. Recording for the album began in New York in 2022.
