Chapterhouse (UK) + Terraplana | São Paulo - 2026

After 15 years away from the stage, the Chapterhouse, one of the key acts of the first generation of British shoegaze, will make its Brazilian debut on September 29, 2026, at Cine Joia in São Paulo. The performance is part of the tour celebrating the 35th anniversary of Whirlpool, the band’s influential debut album released in 1991.

Formed in Reading, England, in the late 1980s, the Chapterhouse combined noisy and immersive guitars, ethereal melodies, and elements of electronic music in their work. The band’s discography includes two studio albums: the aforementioned Whirlpool (1991) and Blood Music (1993).

The opening act will be Terraplana, a band from Curitiba that has become one of the leading names in the new Brazilian shoegaze and alternative rock scene. Formed in 2017, the quartet builds its tracks with dense guitars, melancholic atmospheres, and delicate vocals. Their discography includes the EP Exílio, and their debut album Olhar pra Trás (2023) and Natural, released in 2025 by Balaclava Records.
