The indie pop band Los Campesinos! was formed in 2006 in Cardiff, Wales, by students from Cardiff University. Initially associated with Twee pop, their music gained new elements over time and with some changes in their line-up. Also in 2006, the group signed with Wichita Recordings.
In early 2007, the group released their first single. Later that year, the EP Sticking Fingers into Sockets was released. Their first album, Hold on Now, Youngster..., was released in early 2008. And in November of the same year, their second, We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed, arrived.
Romance Is Boring, their third album, was released in 2010. The following year, Los Campesinos! returned with Hello Sadness. No Blues was released next, in 2013.
In 2017, the band released Sick Scenes, their sixth album. In 2024, the band released All Hell.
