Brazilian band Rock Rocket, formed in 2002 in São Paulo by Noel Rouco (guitar, vocals), Pesky (bass), and Alan Feres (drums, vocals), has gained a legion of fans in the independent scene with its fun rock'n'roll influenced by 1960s and 1970s punk and garage rock.
In 2005, the band released its debut album, Por um Rock and Roll mais Alcoólatra e Inconsequente, on the 13 Records label. From this album came the hits "Puro Amor em Alto Mar" and "Por um Rock n’ Roll Mais Alcoólatra e Inconsequente". The band released their second album in 2008, the self-titled Rock Rocket. The following year, bassist Pesky left the band, being replaced by Jun Santos.
Rock Rocket released their third album, Rock Rocket III, in 2013, on the Pisces Records label. Musicians Guizado (trumpet) and Maurício Pereira (saxophone) were among the collaborators on this album. The band's fourth studio album, Citadel, was released in October 2015.
