During the last two years, Damon Albarn (photo) has been working with Flea , from Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the drummer of Fela Kuti, Tony Allen (who is also a member of another Albarn group, the The Good, The Bad and The Queen) in the project of a "mostly instrumental album".
The group formed by three musicians is called Rocketjuice and The Moon and their live debut will be this Saturday, October 29th, at the Barbican, in London.
Rocketjuice and The Moon's first album, with the same title, will be released next year.
On November 10, Albarn and Allen will also perform at the Coronet in London with their other band, The Good, The Bad & The Queen, for the first time since 2008. The concert will benefit Greenpeace.
