The vocalist of Sigur Ros, Jónsi, composed the soundtrack for Cameron Crowe's new film, "We Bought a Zoo", which tells the story of a family who moves to a rural area to help revive a zoo.
The soundtrack will be released on December 13th and includes two new tracks by Jónsi, "Ævin Endar" and "Gathering Stories", the latter of which is a collaboration with Crowe himself. It also contains several instrumental pieces and new versions of tracks that were already on the solo album that Jónsi released in 2010, as well as "Hoppipolla", by Sigur Rós. Nico Muhly was in charge of orchestral arrangements.
The film, which will be released in the United States on December 23, will star Matt Damon, Colin Ford, Thomas Haden Church, Scarlett Johansson and Patrick Fugit.
