New Muse album influenced by U2

Matthew Bellamy, lead singer of Muse, admitted in an interview with Classic Rock magazine that the new album, "The 2nd Law", has influences from the Irish U2. The musician said: "We've been on tour with U2 in South America last year. And there are definitely some influences on this album, a little "Achtung Baby" here and there."

"The 2nd Law", successor to " The Resistance " (from 2009), hits stores on October 1st and the British band announced that they will release the new single "Madness" today. The new song is the first official single and thus becomes the third from the new record to be released, after "Survival", the official anthem of the 2012 Olympic Games, and "Unsustainable", which shows dubstep influences.
