Born in São Paulo on March 17, 1980, Tiê Gasparinetti Biral began her music career performing on São Paulo's nightlife stages. She also studied singing in New York. Her first major experience came when she toured Brazil and Europe as a member of singer Toquinho's band.
In 2008, Tiê recorded an EP with four songs in partnership with keyboardist Dudu Tsuda (Pato Fu, Jumbo Elektro, Cérebro Eletrônico). The following year, her first album, Sweet Jardim, was released. Her pop-folk sound was well-received by critics.
Her second album, A Coruja e o Coração, released in 2011, featured collaborations with Thiago Pethit, Jorge Drexler, Marcelo Jeneci, Tulipa Ruiz, and Hélio Flanders (Vanguart). Among the tracks, highlights include "Só Sei Dançar Com Você," "Piscar o Olho," and "Pra Alegrar Meu Dia."
Tiê released her third album, Esmeraldas, in 2014. This album included the hit song "A noite," a Portuguese version of the Italian song "La notte" (Giuseppe Anastasi), originally recorded by the Italian singer Arisa in 2012. "A noite" was part of the soundtrack of the telenovela "I Love Paraisópolis" on Rede Globo television.
Her fourth album, Gaya, was released in 2017. In 2025, the singer released a live album titled Cartas de Amor.
