Groove Armada formed in London in 1996 as a collaboration between Andy Cato and Tom Findlay. The duo began releasing singles prior to their debut album, Northern Star (1998), which featured “At the River,” one of their most iconic tracks. Known for their versatility, the duo blends styles such as house, dub, reggae, and big beat.
Their second album, Vertigo (1999), expanded the duo’s reach with the hit “I See You Baby,” later propelled by the famous remix by Fatboy Slim. In Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) (2001), the group released another big hit, “Superstylin’”. The following year, Lovebox further solidified the fusion of electronic music, pop, and organic elements that defines the duo’s sound.
Their discography continued with Soundboy Rock (2007), which featured the track “Song 4 Mutya (Out of Control)”. In 2010, Black Light and White Light, the latter featuring alternative versions of tracks from the previous album.
After a long hiatus without any studio albums, Groove Armada returned with Edge of the Horizon, in 2020.
