Janelle Monáe

American singer/songwriter/dancer Janelle Monáe was critically acclaimed in 2010, when her first album, The ArchAndroid, was released, a conceptual disc about elements of Afro-futurism and science fiction. Before, in 2007, she released an EP entitled Metropolis: Suite I (The Chase).
In January 2011, Janelle Monáe performed in Brazil, opening shows for Amy Winehouse. She returned to the country in September of the same year to perform at Rock in Rio IV.
The singer released her second album, The Electric Lady, in September 2013. A new studio album, Dirty Computer, was released in 2018.
