The Raconteurs are an American band formed in 2005 by Jack White of The White Stripes (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Brendan Benson (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jack Lawrence (bass), and Patrick Keeler (drums). Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) also joined the group on tours, playing guitar and keyboards.

The project began when Jack White and Brendan Benson composed the song "Steady, As She Goes," which became the band's first single, released in April 2006. In May of the same year, their first album, Broken Boy Soldiers, was released.

The Raconteurs' sound is reminiscent of the 1970s, with influences from genres such as hard rock, garage rock, power pop, and blues rock.

In 2008, the band released their second album, Consolers of the Lonely. Its successor was released in 2019, when the group returned with Help Us Stranger

In Australia, The Raconteurs were forced to change their name to The Saboteurs due to the existence in the country of a band already called Raconteurs.
