In the year in which it turns 40, the album ‘Closer’, second and last by the band Joy Division, receives a special edition to celebrate its four decades.

This reissue will come out on July 17 on 180 gram transparent vinyl and also on streaming services. On the same day, the singles “Love Will Tear Us Apart”, “Transmission” and “Atmosphere” in 12 inches will also be re-released.

Produced by Martin Hannett, 'Closer' was released on July 18, 1980, two months after Ian Curtis's suicide.
