Beautiful Noise: documentário resgata ícones do shoegaze

Cocteau Twins, The Jesus and Mary Chain e My Bloody Valentine são "os personagens" principais do documentário 'Beautiful Noise', que o explora o shoegaze, movimento surgido na segunda metade da década de 1980 na Inglaterra e que, com sua mistura de melodias fascinantes, distorções e efeitos, conquistou um grande número seguidores na época. Além de continuar sendo influência para bandas atuais, como The Raveonettes , Glasvegas, Crocodiles e School of Seven Bells.

Dirigido por Eric Green, 'Beautiful Noise' vem sendo elaborado a oito anos, reunindo mais de 50 entrevistas com personalidades como Kevin Shields, Jim Reid, Robin Guthrie, Bobby Gillespie, Wayne Coyne, Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan, Robert Smith, entre outras.

Além das três bandas citadas acima, o documentário aborda nomes como Ride, Slowdive, Chapterhouse, Lush, Curve, Swervedriver e Medicine.

No momento, Eric Green está com uma campanha no site Kickstarter para levantar $75,000 para financiar o lançamento do seu documentário.
