Animal Collective, Mark Lanegan e Libertines em tributo ao Velvet Underground

John Cale irá revisitar ao vivo uma das obras máximas do rock n' roll - e na qual participou, enquanto membro do Velvet Underground. "Velvet Underground & Nico", de 1967, será relembrado pelo músico no próximo dia 03 de abril, na Philarmonie de Paris.

Cale não irá estar, contudo, sozinho: para o auxiliar no palco, o músico convidou vários outros artistas que, de uma forma ou outra, foram influenciados pela sonoridade do VU, entre eles o Animal Collective, Libertines e Mark Lanegan. Os bilhetes para o espetáculo já se encontram esgotados.

Esta não é a primeira vez, este ano, que John Cale olha para o passado; o músico lançou, em janeiro, "M:FANS", uma versão "atualizada" do seu álbum de 1982, "Music For A New Society". Cale dá igualmente uma ajudinha ao Animal Collective em "Painting With", o novo álbum da banda norte-americana, na canção "Hocus Pocus".
