Although associated with grunge and having achieved greater success in the United States than in their home country, the British band Bush was formed in London in 1992 by Gavin Rossdale (vocals and guitar), Nigel Pulsford (guitar), Dave Parsons (bass), and Robin Goodridge (drums).
Heavy guitars and raw vocals are the central elements that made the group one of the most successful names in post-grunge in the 1990s. Their international success was largely due to their debut album, Sixteen Stone (1994), which spawned global hits such as “Comedown,” “Machinehead,” and “Glycerine.”
Next, Bush released the albums Razorblade Suitcase (1996), The Science of Things (1999) and Golden State (2001), until they announced the band’s breakup in 2002.
In 2010, Gavin Rossdale and Robin Goodridge revived the project alongside guitarist Chris Traynor and bassist Corey Britz. With this lineup, they released The Sea of Memories (2011), Man on the Run (2014) and Black and White Rainbows (2017). In 2019, drummer Nik Hughes took over the position from Goodridge.
Continuing their discography, the band released The Kingdom (2020) and The Art of Survival (2022), their ninth studio album.
