Weyes Blood is the stage name of American singer-songwriter Natalie Laura Mering, born June 11, 1988 in Santa Monica, California. Her music moves through elements of styles such as lo-fi, psychedelic folk, chamber pop and experimental pop. She stated that sacred music, present in her upbringing, has a strong influence on her work.

Mering became attached to the world of alternative music when she moved to Portland, Oregon, where she was a member of Jackie-O bands Motherfucker (experimental rock) and Satanized (noise rock). As Weyes Blood, she released her debut album, The Outside Room, on Not Not Fun Records in 2011. She subsequently released two albums on the Mexican Summer label, The Innocents (2014) and Front Row Seat to Earth (2016).
Titanic Rising (2019) and And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow (2022), both released by Sub Pop, received widespread critical acclaim.
