Deerhunter

The band based in Atlanta, USA, was formed in 2001, carrying the proposal to combine minimalist music with garage rock. Deerhunter released their first album, which had no title, but the Stickfigure Records label changed its title to Turn It Up Faggot, in 2005. In 2007, the band released their second album, Cryptograms, on the Kranky label.

Present in several lists of the best of 2008, Microcastle arrived with a more pop line, but gave the band a greater impact on the independent scene, contributing to comparisons withJoy Division, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, among others. Two months after Microcastle, Weird Era Cont. was released. This work was released as a bonus disc in some Microcastle editions.

In 2010, Deerhunter released their fifth album, Halcyon Digest. Monomania arrived in 2013, followed by Fading Frontier (2015) and Why Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared? (2019).
