Hurray for the Riff Raff

Hurray for the Riff Raff is a musical project formed in 2007 in New Orleans, Louisiana, by American singer and songwriter Alynda Segarra. Of Puerto Rican descent, Segarra released several works independently linked to Indie Folk with his band.

In 2014, Hurray for the Riff Raff signed with ATO Records, releasing their fifth album, Small Town Heroes. The Navigator, a 2017 work, was partially inspired by The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars by David Bowie. In 2022, Life on Earth arrived on the Nonesuch Records label. This work was well received in the indie scene, bringing more prominence to Alynda Segarra's band.
