Twin Shadow is the stage name of musician George Lewis Jr., born in the Dominican Republic, but raised in Florida. In the early 2000s, he moved to Boston, where he was a member of a band called Mad Man Films, which released two independent albums.
In 2006, Lewis moved to Brooklyn, NY, and adopted the name Twin Shadow. Inspired in the 1980s, more precisely in synth pop and new wave, he released in 2010 its first album, Forget, produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear.
Critically praised, Confess, the second album, came out in 2012 on the 4AD label. In 2015, by Warner Bros., Eclipse was released. In 2018, the artist returned with Caer.
