The Lemonheads were formed in 1986 under the influence of music by bands such as Hüsker Dü and The Replacements. The band had several members in its various formations, but over time, the band became centered on the figure of Evan Dando.
Highlights of their discography include the albums Lick (1989) and the successful It's A Shame About Ray (1992).
